Evidence-based therapy is provided in a collaborative and tailored manner, designed to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances across a wide range of challenges. Therapy is available for individuals, couples and children. People come to therapy for different reasons and with varying expectations, the approach remains flexible, person-centred, and collaborative.

A holistic perspective is applied in understanding each client’s unique experiences and life context. The overall aim is to empower, energise, and motivate clients to cultivate a balanced and fulfilling life for themselves and those around them, within a compassionate and caring environment.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a collaborative process between the client and psychologist. Measurable, time-framed goals are determined to assist the client and psychologist in moving toward the established goals. Therapeutic techniques are tailored to the individual needs of the client to aid the client in achieving goals and developing the tools necessary for a more fulfilling life.

Anxiety, depression, life decisions and transitions, grief and loss, trauma, identity and self-esteem issues, personal development and self-care are some of the typical focus areas of therapy.

Couples Therapy
Relationship conflict and communication problems, lack of closeness and intimacy, remarriage decisions and challenges, commitment in relationships are some of the challenges addressed in couples therapy.

Therapy for Adolescents
“Adolescents are not monsters. They are just people trying to learn how to make it among the adults in the world, who are probably not so sure themselves.” – Virginia Satir

Adolescents are assisted in overcoming the challenges hampering their personal, academic, social and/or emotional development.

Therapy for Children
Committed to providing children (starting from three years old) and their parents, therapy, support and education needed to assist the child and family in dealing with challenges.
Some of the challenges addressed may include: behavioral difficulties, attention problems, school related challenges, anger management, depression, divorce, adjustment and social skills. In addition to being a psychologist, Dr. Sylvia Kruger's qualification as a teacher is valuable in this regard.

Psychometric Assessments
Full psycho-educational assessments using cognitive, emotional and academic assessment tools for children (e.g. school readiness, scholastic evaluations) and adolescents.

Career Guidance
Career assessments, aptitude, personality, values, and interests, including a discussion and recommendations based on the findings, will be part the career guidance process.
